The Godfather stays home..!

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, 69, has insisted that he will remain at the Old Trafford helm for the foreseeable future after revealing he has no plans to retire.

Fergie said: "I have no plans to retire, I must say that and my wife Cathy is delighted. She would have thrown me out."The salient point is that whilst my health is good, carry on. You hear many stories of people who come off the treadmill and their system breaks down. I don't want that happening to me."

Becks back for Gary Neville's Testimonial confirmed !

David Robert Joseph Beckham shows his loyalty to his boyhood club!

DAVID BECKHAM handed long-time pal Gary Neville a major boost last night by revealing he will fly back from Los Angeles for the full-back's Old Trafford testimonial on Tuesday.  Neville had sent out an invitation to Becks last week, hoping he would face Juventus and ensure a bumper crowd by appearing in a Manchester United shirt for the first time since 2003. It will mark the reunion of United's famous 'Class of 1992' which included Becks, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes.

But it also signals a major climbdown from the LA Galaxy, who did not want their 36-year-old midfield star to travel.  Becks' LA Galaxy boss Bruce Arena said: "We'd be resting David in one of the games next week anyway." And Becks added: "I think Bruce knows how important it is for Gary. It's more important than anything for me to be there for Gary."

Here's a video about what he used to be @ OldTraffford :

That famous Banner everybody's talking about :)

Back in 1994, shortly after Sir Alex Ferguson claimed his first title as Manchester United boss, a banner was unfurled at Anfield, home of their great rivals, reminding the team from Old Trafford that Liverpool were still Kings of England in terms of top flight success.'Come back when you've won 18,' it said, in reference to Liverpool's number of titles. Well in the years since, United have capitalised on a dismal period on Merseyside and on Saturday claimed their 19th. So, they went back to Anfield.

Not content with knocking Liverpool off their perch, a small group of United fans braved the atmosphere of Anfield to rub their rivals' noses in it a little bit more and unveil an antagonising banner inside the ground before the game against Tottenham. 'MUFC 19 TIMES,' it said, hung from the Anfield Road end. Rather than stay and wait for the vitriolic response, the fans responsible made a quick getaway in cars waiting for them outside, but not before other members of the group had taken important photo evidence.
